A Series for Budding Entrepreneurs

“Starting Your Own Business” is a series of articles that will show potential entrepreneurs the ins and outs of starting their own businesses, and the various issues that need to be addressed early in their (the entrepreneur and the company) development. Articles will cover topics including: Corporate structure (what type of corporation should be considered), corporate reporting requirements (responsibilities of the corporation owner in annual meetings and reporting to the IRS), financial reporting (how do you pay yourself and the IRS, quarterly IRS reporting, how and why you establish credit lines with a bank), benefits (medical and others) that you need, the home office/small office (computer safety, web pages and office services), how to develop winning proposals for your services, strategic planning (yes, even one person nano-businesses need a strategic plan), corporate culture (your footprint in the company and in the community), discriminators (how are you different from others offering similar services), and other business topics that will come from the readership as these articles are published.

"Problems that New CEOs Face” is a series of articles that will show new CEOs and CEOs of existing small businesses the various business and personal issues that they may be facing, or will potentially face in the future. Articles will cover topics including: Family gets in the way (what happens when you get too involved in the day to day operations of your business, your personal/family life begins to suffer, and what you can do that will improve your quality of life), Correct capital (what budget and cash analysis you need to do before you launch off and start your own business - do you have the correct budget estimates, enough capital and will your cash flow support your needs), What do you do and who are these people working here (discusses the importance of clear roles and responsibilities in your company), Does anyone know our vision (addresses the importance of sharing the corporate vision with your most important customers - your employees), Hiring, organizing and sharing (how do you find the right people to come work for your company, organize them and determine how to share your success with key employees), Your corporate niche and culture (your culture is up to you - what is the model that you want), When do I start my business and other business topics that will come from the readership as these articles are published.
